#301042 - 22/06/05 08:47 PM OLE display on head unit - question...

I have a Pioneer DEH-P960MP head unit with an OLE display.

Are OLE displays subject to burn-in?

The reason I ask is that there is this "reverse mode" which is enabled by default. What it does is every 30 seconds or so the blacks and whites switch. I'm trying to determine if it's just for bling factor or if it's to prevent burn in (like a screen saver). The manual tells you how to turn off "reverse mode" but does not mention anything about burn-in.

Does anyone know about these displays?

Love the HU by the way, highly recommended!
Would rather turn off "reverse mode" though, unless that would cause burn-in. (I tend to leave it on the same display all the time)

OLE displays will dim over time. I have several OLE cell phones and some have a degree of burnin but the biggest factor is display fade on constant on pixels. I would leave the screen saver component active.

Thanks for the info SLX. I'll leave reverse mode on. I'm pretty much use to it anyway.
