Tried searching but none of the topics would come up. I would like to put a single DIN flip-up DVD player in my X, but am worried that it will hit the bottom of the heater controls. Anybody done this already?

bump for a quickie answer. Someone has to have tried this.

Tried but it keeps coming up saying that topic can't be found. Or if it does give me a link, it doesn't work. I'm assuming archives are deleted regulary becaue of bandwidth issues?

OK, just tried again and this time it gave me a page full of links that WORK! Don't know what I was doing wrong before, maybe you haver to be logged in to view them.

Just want you to know that I have been a member of several forums over the past few years...and I hate it when the answer can easily be searched but no one does. I swear I tried this time but had no luck!

I know there are a few guys that have the flip up headunits here and have no problems with them hitting anything else on the center stack. i thought it would be an issue myself. most of the people here that have dvd players in-dash have double-din units. i have a double-din and absolutely love it. i prefer the look of it better than having a screen protruding out and up my dash.we all have our personal preferences though.
