Ok. I did search, but i have no idea what you guys are talking about. I'm somewhat electronic savvy-did my own installs in the past-, but when it comes to ipods, im lost.

So im looking to put an mp3 payer in the wife's X. 2005 x model, or the one below the off-road. No 6 disc player, or sat. Can you guys hook me up with the right gear? I'm trying to keep it simple, easy, and fairly cheap.

Get yourself a newer Alpine aftermarket CD head unit with the Ipod "Full Speed " connection.

You can simply plug your ipod into the deck with the accessory cable and pump it digitally into your stereo, as well as control the ipod with the head unit.
It will also charge the ipod.
Don't bother with any FM modulators. They suck.

The Alpine units are also bluetooth capable so you can also pipe your cell phone through the head unit as well.

I think my head unit was the 9856 by Alpine.
