Listening to my ipod through the fm trans not bad but i know could be better. Part of the problem i think is the dirtyness of the power. So i go to thinking

1. Is there a gain control on the stock rf amp?

2. Aux inputs- has anyone ever cracked on of these units open and tried to piggyback off of the cd right and left or the am right and left? Dont know if it is even possible. Maybe a question for ken.

3. Does the new rf system sound equally muddy? Will it retrofit into the wiring for the old rf system?

The reason i use the word muddy- is in my wifes sentra the stereo took a shit and i replaced it with a pioneer hu. When using the fm transmitter in that car it sound much more clear and dimensional....

I guess in the long run i just can never take the easy route.
