Anyone here locally had lasiks done? Do you have a doctor you reccommend. The wife is looking to get it done this summer and we are searching for a doctor.

or I could take her just across the border to good ole' Mex. but I don't want her walking out of the back alley doctor's office looking like this [Freak]

Barnett / Delaney in Scottsdale is supposed to be the best from what my Sister-in-law has told us. She sells to and trains the Doctors to use the equipment to do the Surgeries and she says they have all the options and will tell you which surgery is the best for your condition.
She has been tring to get me to do it, but I'm a wuss and want to keep my eyes. [Freak]
Good luck.

Hey,
At least she wouldn't be able to see your pot gut or the Girlfriend that you just took home. [Uh Oh !]

Good luck.

I had lasik about 3 years ago. My vision is awesome and the procedure was quick and recovery time was nothing, I did have one of the best in the nation do it (Ford Medical Center in Michigan). I highly recommend it, the hardest adjustment I had was getting used to not reaching for my glasses in the morning. [ThumbsUp]

Shannon's mom is getting it this week. I'll let you know where and how it goes. I'm sure she's having it done somewhere well known.

A friend of mine had it done. He is super happy with the results.

Location is Toronto, Canada

Since I don't know where "surprise" is I'm not sure if that location works for ya wink

How much is Lasik running nowadays? Someone recommended it to me a few years back and said that they only spent a few thousand dollars to have it done.

Thing is, my eyesight is bad enough that Lasik would not be able to correct it back to 20/20. I have verified that, at least.

For me, a "few thousand bucks" isn't worth it to simply change my prescription. Contacts are still $20 a box at Walmart no matter what strength you choose.

depending on correction, it's as cheap as a grand per eye now.

Of course they can't help someone who's far sighted.....bastards.

Uhh...what's that again? (no, that's not me)

I have an astigmatism in one eye...a few years back the eye doc told me my eyes weren't bad enough.... Sure seems like it. Watch me drive w/o glasses. "Blind driver" competitions beware!

I've never heard of anyone I know having complications as the result of the surgery. You usually only hear of it on Dateline. [Freak]
