Assuming fires don't shut it down, Bren and I are going up to Knoll Lake up off FR300 Thurs 7/5 thru Sun 7/8. My b-day is 7/6, so gonna get away for few days, and we love it up there. Anyone cares to join us is welcome for all or part of the trip.
There shall be much relaxing and making of merry.
[ThumbsUp]

I'll most likely be in on that little trip. Wouldn't be leaving until Friday afternoon tho after Lindsay gets off work at 1:30. So would be up there before dark. Had fun up there last time.

Looks like about the same interest as last time we went up there with you guys! Maybe closer to the date people will chime in.

Might get myself a fishing rod & license so I can join ya by the lake this time.

The lake for folks who might not have been to this one before:

More pics at: http://www.rinky.us/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=7 from our trip up there in 05.

I've never been there before, but it looks really cool. Could I make it back there pulling my quad trailer, or is it a hard-core offroad trail? I'd love to camp with the quads...

You could definately pull a trailer out there. It is 2wd accessible most places.

Deffinately 2wd friendly. You can run the whole FR300 in 2WD the road down into Knoll Lake is a little bumpy but still fine in 2WD.

Just a bump for those interested. Unfortunately, the fire restrictions are severe. No campfires, not even any smoking......
Bren and I are still going up, Thurs am when I get home from shift.

I'm heading up Friday afternoon - so meet you up there Friday late afternoon - Keep the FRS on Standby and I'll see if I can get hold of you when we get there - Otherwise I'll drive around until we find ya. We might possibly be dragging a friend with us too.

Buying my fishing gear later hopefully, so I can relax by the lake.

I think you have my Cell# if you need to reach me to let me know anything and can get service up there. If not: 602-214-5403

There is a strong possibility that I will have to work on Saturday (qtr. end close), so I might not make it.

Just a few of us went up, Bren and I, Rinky and his fam, and a few friends. Was very nice to get out of the heat, and the afternoon showers were a welcome relief.
Roger, next time, at least pack a sweatshirt or something......lol
