I gotta get my brakes fixed. Any suggestions as to where to go. I'm in North Scottsdale so somewhere close would be preferable. Thanks!!

What's wrong with them? Just need new pads?

Sorry, I never took my X to anywhere but the dealer (and that was a rare occasion to say the least) so I'm not a lot of help.

Dano, since it is only an 04 why not take it to the dealer, if it is still under warranty? I cant imagine the pads being warn out in 12-15k miles. So if there was a problem you warranty should cover it.

I need to do my front pads if you're interested in doing yours at the same time.

Did you learn from last time? Or; is Gene's bolt still holding things together?

Man you have way too good a memory smile I'd actually forgotten about that until you brought it up...

Ok, so maybe I'm not the best to help someone do their brakes heh smile

Yep....it's a 45 minute job. Your rotors should be fine. The C-clamp does come in handy.

Agree with the above mentioned, just did it myself and with scuffing the rotors took about 45 minutes. I too have the big C-Clamp and used an old pad to compress the pistons in the caliper, EZ enough done. [ThumbsUp]

Did mine just before GONE and installed Raybestos QS Ceramics (per GRN X' suggestion [ThumbsUp] ). I was leary of my install, but they proved to work just fine, especially when I needed them most..

The drop on the right's deep enough, that needless to say, recovery would be an afterthought if you don't stop properly wink
