Thought I would ask the experts. We will be traveling to AZ from MN Jan. 16-26. We are flying in, so won't have the X, but we will be using my father-in-law's Explorer. We will be in the Mesa area visiting the in-laws until the 19th. After that we will be making our way to Yuma for a family gathering (my grandpa lives there) on the 23-25.

We are looking for some cool places to check out.
The last time we were down we hit the Grand Canyon, but it was full of clouds/fog, and we couldn't see a thing, not sure if we will try again this time.

We hit the Sedona area last time, did some hiking in Oak Creek Canyon.

We will have our 3 1/2 yr old with us.

What are you looking for? Interesting trails, hiking, or just your basic cool stuff?

Possibly some hiking (what ever a 3yr old can handle) last time we had a carrier for her. And just your basic cool stuff.

Desert Museum in Tucson is great this time of the year.
Tombstone, AZ is nice to visit esp. for kids.
Don't forget the old territorial prison in Yuma. Best to visit it in winter when it is still cool. Summer is horrible time to go to Yuma or anywhere in southern AZ.
Mt. Lemmon burned last summer so I would imigine that is out....but lots of snow this time of the year..and you probably have enough of that where you live.
