Here is some video from the trip this weekend. It's 15 minutes, and the last half is in real time, so it's a bit slow. Right click on save. Divx - 129 meg If your connection is fast enough, you can stream this one: MPEG If you haven't, download Divx

I just got the mpg version...didnt take long at all...excellent quality too!! I especially like the silver X stuck in the mud...all you can here is the "whir-click, whir-click, beep, beep" of everyones cameras going off while the poor guy tries to paddle his X to shore!!! Oh...nice use of the cherokees hood too!!

A picture is worth many words....in this case, I had everyone snapping the photos and video taping me like a bunch of tourist at Disney World. Gotta love the power of video. Atleast now I can say that I....GOT MUD?

Sweet video!
Keep making them and sharing them with the rest of us .
You gotta figure out a way to mount your stabilizer to that in cabin camera mount thing. It was making me sick watching those shots taken while you are driving.

Hey Jorge...I was goin through your pics posted on NJAX and I was wondering what the pics were that look like they were taken by a night vision camera in the Paragon 11/03 folder?? I'm guessing it is an old mine of some sort...just wondering if it was and how deep you guys explored it....

Can we see some pics of that in truck tripod you were using! I like that! Sure beats my tripod straped to the front seat!

This is better than straping a tripod to the front seat too.

The camera mount in my X that you saw in the video is actually a second modified version that I made to allow for a better window shot without viewing the mirror or top of dash too much, but the only thing is that second version shakes way too much. So I went back to the original version which is of these photos but I added it to the driver headrest for a bit more weight stability. It greatly improved the video from shaking. These photos show it mounted on the passenger headrest. Total cost for parts under $15 except for the Velbon camera piece which I had laying around. It still allows me to remove the Velbon piece and use it on my full tripod. The mount I had at Paragon was a second version. The original in the photos is better. And it is mounted now on driver headrest but not from the old photo showing. As for mounting it on both headrest, I thought about that, but if I were to have someone sitting in the passenger seat who is huge and needs leg room, it would throw off the angle of the bracket mount if the seats were adjusted uneven...especially since I am not too tall.
