It doesn't look like anything was broken or damaged eek What's important is that you made it out of there alright. That was a close one, thanks for sharing the video [ThumbsUp]

I agree with the general sentiment.... looks like fun - but be reeeeeeealy careful with mudholes like that. Never know how deep they're gonna be or what's gonna be in 'em (a.k.a all that bouncing that you probably weren't expecting). LOTS of people have destroyed their vehicles in water/mud crossings with too much speed and too much depth.

Seriously...the tricky part is that you can't see what's under the water...and its very easy to hit a submerged stump/log/rock/commercial air-conditioning unit, etc.

If you don't have armor plating under there, that type of impact can cripple your truck right in the middle of the water trap...and leave you stranded there.

(Steiny - thanks for the videos! - That was great)

I'd bet money that if you take off those lame side rails and mudflaps, and get yourself some real tires, you wouldn't have to go balls out through something like that. You'd probably be able to crawl through that.

you get stuck in a mud pit like that, those BFG's aren't gonna do you any good. When you go through something like balls to the wall, it would be a good idea to have some skid plate. Big rocks do alot of damage.

Or as I can atest to... if the previous trucks were 38+" tires with big lifts you can high center in their ruts and just sit there spining with 33's and 3"lift smile took my winch and a jeeps to get me out

Luckily when I went through there, I wasn't flying. Maybe I should have, then I wouldn't have got stuck. Still would have had all the problems though. I'm still cleaning mud out of the engine.

On your way to the mudhole go ahead and stop in at the closest Advance Auto parts. Pick up a re-manufactured alternator. You'll need it!
