total miles: 1623
total gallons: 90
mpg: 18
cost of gas: $147

I must have lost a gas receipt or two, the MPG seems too high. Oh well, it was a small cost for a great vacation in the mountains...

Damn that sucks Synchro. I think we passed someone worse than you on the way back from GoX. A Jeep driving in the dark with his hazards on literally swerving back and forth 5 feet at a time down the highway.

Looks like we better add a centerlink to the road trip parts list. Either that or convince Nissan to put a dealership in Moab (at least a parts department).

That does suck, Synchro. It's too bad that we didn't caravan back, at least to St. Louis. We drove the 22 hours straight back, and it sucked royally.

Total miles: somewhere aroung 3400. Total gas cost: $375.74. Total moving violations: 0.

Damn Syncro! How many hours logged there and back? I'm thinking next year for sure (depending on economy etc.). Maybe if there are enough of us next year we can caravan out there!

Sorry to hear about the problems. I'm getting paranoid about some of these runs.... oh well, it's all worth it!

That really sucks Kirk, and I think Mosi had a spare center link with him, if only we'd known!

4600+ miles round trip

god only knows how much gas and at what cost

1 steering center link toasted

2 BFG mud terrains toasted (center link through alignment off BAD and had no choice but to drive it home as no one had the part in Moab on a saturday morning)

Times I came within a few inches of death from the front end being so wobbly.......2. no exageration!

would i do it all over agian???? damn skippy, but not without a copilot!!!!

Are you talking about the tierod centerlinks? If so, too bad you didn't bust it in Ouray, as I carried two spares. I put Todd's EOE centerlinks on, and carry the two I replaced as spares for someone else.

Kirk!

Glad I got to finally meet you! It was fun having you wheel with us in Ouray and Moab! That sucks about the center link! I know Mosi was having the same problem before we left? Makes me have second thoughts about doing the suspension lift?

Thor and I had 3700 miles when he dropped me off in Grand Junction. I flew home and he is still in Colorado looking for good spots to paint. Then he'll probably put on another 2000 miles to get home. GOX was way too cool. I had no idea Colorado was so beautiful. Met a alot of great people. For all those that didn't get to see my magnificent trout, I did finally catch two fish at the Ridgeway reservoir. One was two small to keep and the other was too small too, but we fried it up in a pan anyway. I hope people with digital cameras keep posting their pics. I was just there but the photos remind me how great the whole week was. I thought the chili night was really fun. Congrats to Ian on putting together such a great event.

I have read about the problem, smart-ass. Nowhere did you use the word "bushing". Your exact quote was "1 steering center link toasted", which any normal person would take to mean the center link itself was broken.
