Hi All,

Took the X for the "official European Type- Approval Test" today.

And it only failed the test on one thing...
the tires!

The BFG AT's I have are Q speed rated at 99mph, the "official" top speed of the X is 100mph, just 1mph over!

Would they bend the rules for just a little 1mph over? Bollocks would they!!! So I have to go shopping for another set of BFG AT's, but with an R speed rating.

And I also need the official US gov' emission figures for the X before I can register it here, can anyone help?

One day I might just get the X on the road, maybe even off the road?

thats 3 miles per hour under the tire rating

I'd be quite happy if the US were as strict as the UK about vehicles.
Just be glad you could import it in the first place! It's nearly impossible and very expensive to bring a late-model vehicle from the UK into the US.
