How about a relocation bracket for the alternator for your next project? [ThumbsUp]

they're mounted pretty low and a lot of guys have fried them in mud or water. i don't think there's much room to put it anywhere else though

I would loose my A/C to get my alty up and out of the way(for the most part)I have taken that stupid thing out way too many times, i would love a fix.

Yeah, had to replace mine a number of times. Sure, I can probably do it blindfolded by now, but relocation would be nice. However, I doubt that it's plausible without loosing something like the A/C or whatever.

I think all of us who have offroaded would like to see this. The thing is in the worst place.

You know an Xterra owner if he has a spare alternator in the back of his truck. laugh

Why the alternator is practically as low as the oil pan is beyond me. If I have to replace it again I might go mental. more mental.

My name is Andy
I live in Arizona
and I hate mud

We do have the occasional deep water crossing tho, but nothing is worth sacrificing AC for here.

I have a spare alternator that I'm going to rebuild, but it's there for when I need it.

So, count me in on the group that would like a relocation bracket - especially since I don't use the A/C anyway.

I would be interestered but as I live in Florida, the AC MUST stay.
