Hello,

Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on this project? I would like to install the quicklift and tires as well as the shrockworks front/rear bumpers. My question to anyone with an educated opion is this...other than the quicklift kit, would I have to undertake any other mods upfront due to the added weight of the front bumper? It states in the article that it sits perfectly level. I would like to retain that look with the shrock bumper installed. I am a newbie to mods so please go easy. Your help is greatly appreciated.

p.s.

here is the article referenced.

Thanks for the reply. I am trying to figure out if I will need to add any thing else to level the front end, post-quicklift? I am moving to Las Vegas in the next month or two and was going to have it done out there. I don't want anything more than what you see in the pics in the article. The 285s and the front bump and sliders. How much did it run ya btw? Thanks again!

Admittedly, I don't know anything about the Rancho lift for 2nd gens, but the Rancho lift for the first generation Xterra wasn't worth the steel it was made from, so I'd be wary of using the kit for the 2nd gens.

Thanks... what would you suggest to get the desired look and functionality. I would estimate that 75% will be on-road as this is my daily driver. I am not going to go rock crawling or anything like that. Primarily taking it on trails to go camping, hiking, biking etc. I want to put 285/75/16s on it and give it a lil better stance. will the 285s rub or bind without a lift?

I have not heard good things about the Rancho quick lift for the 2005+. IMHO, if you are adding a Shrock front bumper, you should upgrade your front coil springs - instead of using a spacer.

That is good to know about the Rancho Quicklift setup. I would just like a lil better and more aggressive stance on mine. If you took a glance at the rancho article, the pics in there are what i am going for.
