Just wondering if there were any documented gains this can produce on the 2.4L

OK; I have to ask. Are you planning on pulling the V-6 ouf of your truck and putting in the I-4?

No offense to I-4 owners but the V-6 is pathetic enough. It would take a lot more than a Cam to give the I-4 any significant power.

I'm sure it will produce gains - the 240SX guys do it all the time with their KA24DE engines. Another route you may want to consider with that engine is turbocharging. Again, the 240SX guys have a lot of experience with that engine and could help you get more than the V6 for sure.

For the record, this is for my 98 Frontier, which is a 4 cyl. I know this is an "Xterra Only" board, and I do own an 01 X, but this is also the only board with a "Manufacturer Row" which manufacturers actually check and respond to once in a while.

I have looked at doing a turbo, since a turbo manifold is made for this engine that will fit any T-series turbo. I do want to do it right, if I do it at all, and last I checked it was pretty expensive to get a race shop to properly tune it, plus the cost of an intercooler, larger injectors, yada yada yada...

Anyway, I think right now that the cam and rocker arms would fit more into my budget than a turbo. But the next time I see this manifold on eBay (passed that up a year ago, doh!) it's mine.
