Alright, there should be plenty of Gen2 trucks there, so it'll be interesting to see what's being done to them.. As for us oldskoolers, most trucks are and have been pretty well outfitted previously; lifts, lockers, now even the SAS' are showing up in force. I've decided to stay IFS and to finish off my XTERRA buildup, i'm doing the following things by this years GONE. Post up what you're getting done by the end of May to have the best, safest time you can in Moab. laugh

Install-
R200A Front LSD
CALMINI 3.92:1 gears
XD9000i WARN winch
Plasma rope / Hawse fairlead / Sweet-ass hook
CALMINI SAS Spring Packs
AC Spring perch sliders
2" AC Body lift / Liner lips
4 ea 5"x7" 100w lights (custom lightbar)

Replace-
IAB
TREs
Fuel filter
TC Crossmember
OPTIMA (red to yellow)

Well. BEing that I have 4 kids (no regrets) the mods are slow coming. But here they are:

Install/Installed:
3'' SLR SL with aal and 2'' shakles (already done yet to be heavely wheeled)
32'' tires either Yoko MT+ or Parnelli Jones Dirt Grip (yet to be put on)
Full set of skids from Shrockworks (intalled)
SLR Steering setup (on its way)

already on:
LightForce 170 lights
Calmini Sliders
CB
Nissan neoprene seat covers
PIAA back up light
Wilderness roof rack

There maybe other things ie Raingler barrier net, Optima Batt. so on and so forth.

Dan why did you decide to stay IFS?

Really quick.. just 'cause I have the '66 Scout and I'm restoring that to enjoy for a couple of years. I'll let it appreciate in value a little more.. Than I'm gonna' sell the '66 to a collector and get a ScoutII and go apeshit on it. laugh

Pack and GAS up and I’m ready laugh

Bringing spare parts for folks that might need them (not me I hope)

Front axle shaft(s) for SAS
Stock Rear Driveshaft
Front extended length brake lines
Stock Transmission mount
Spare u-joints

Would be nice to also have:

Typical IFS steering (tie rods, CL, etc) & axle parts (Shafts, hubs, etc)
Torsion bar anchors and adjusters.
Spare set of motor mounts
Front SAS driveshaft

I just listed what I’ve seen in the past that’s broken but please add or listed what you can contribute or think is needed?

Maybe we should give a carnage bonus [Laughing] extra raffle tickets after ever incident

Well, this will be my first time at Moab or a place similar to it, so, a bit nervous about things and trying to get as much stuff that will help me get through it as undamaged and safe as possible. The main things that I WILL have by then is

- HD Calmini Steering System
- Optima Yellow Top
- CO2
- other random smaller things

I HOPE to get:

- Rear Locker
- HD Calmini Torsion Bars
- Bilstein Shocks all around

Just depends on some funds coming in! Either way, I'm excited to go with what I have!

Hi-Lift (thank you Troy and Kevin)

Ponyboy, I noticed in your profile that you are on the "tax staff" for your occupation. That seems to explain how you are able to do all those high dollar mods. laugh

Your secret is safe with me "TAX MAN" wink

Where'd you put it? I was moving mine around and realized there's really no vertical or near vert surface on the front or back bumper which is safe from me scraping it off.. [Laughing]

We did it on Troys but it was on the inside of the swing arm of the tire carrier. Right behind the tire, still plenty of clearance between the door and opener.

Honest opinion would a stock 05 offroad with AT and sliders be enough for this event?

Alpine is correct. The great thing about goneMoab is that it is stock friendly. There are a number of optional trails and obstacles for folks with built trucks to play on, but we have had bone stock 4 banger Frontiers come out. Sliders are always a good thing to have. At the very least take off the step rails.

I was stock, aside from sliders, and did fine back in November. You will have NO problems keeping up with everyone.

I left goneMoab with my draw dropped open 2 years ago when I saw stock vehicles doing the things they did, including myself.

The trail leaders have driven these trails and many like them, follow there direction and no probs. smile
