If it's not too personal of a question, I'm curious as to the rough estimate those have spent per their modifications to the X.

Curious to know as well - for those that offroad their trucks, if damages were sustained, aside from tires/hubs and rough estimates of getting those items repaired.

Any threats of non-warranted items do mod's?

Only mod put into my X was a new set of Dueler Revo's for $600; however, I'd like to a lot more.

"Removed the line since this is the general section and nerds don't have a sense of humor."

I like to concentrate on all the money I have saved by doing modifications myself and shopping for the best prices. We don't talk about how much this stuff costs.

I've spent around $1,400 on different stuff, replaced factory stereo and speakers and bike racks, and stuff like that...no damages from off-roading but 2 unfortunate fender benders that insurance covered...my next thing is to get some BFG All Terrain tires...hopefully, next Christmas bonus smile

You WISH your truck looked as good as mine jerk off, and for your information, most of that 4 grand went into my sound system (seems you didn't even bother to look at the list of mods under the picture). I guess that's why it says "Supporting Moron" under your ID.

I see Carlton had to come to your rescue by editing my post too.

No one came to anyones rescue..

Sean.. If you had read your e-mail and IM you would have seen my request (like the one that I sent to Ivan) to remove the comments that are not suited for this fourm. Ivan removed his comments and since you did not respond to either e-amil or IM I did it for you.

If you two wish to continue this pissing match move it to the ALR and leave this thread alone.

Sean you are definitely right it was pure jealousy for me to make such mean comments about your mall cruiser. I don't have nearly that much invested in mine and am just plain not in your league. This is all I have done so far. I really need to get sum ultra agressive tires like yours.

Oh and thanks carlton for saving me from the big bad sean man. I was afraid he was gonna hit me with his widdle sportster.

I hate to break it to you but your Xterra looks just as much a "Mall Cruiser" as mine if not more, and that pin stripe on yours gives it a nice "Feminine" touch to boot. Maybe you should have painted your fire extinguisher pink to match? "Dorky" tail light guards eh? At least I wasn't stupid enough to buy the FULL "Do more damage in a crash" wanna-be ARB brush guard like you did.

Why? Because I paid $50.00 on ebay for the Nissan tail light guards? How much did you pay for your full WAAG? I paid only $189 w/free shipping for my WAAG sportster. At least I can remove most of the money I spent (sound system), and install it in another vehicle.

You should both worry less about how your truck looks and more about how it performs. Spend some money and get front and rear lockers, suspension lift, tuned cam, relocated air filer or snorkel, on board air or some other goodies. Instead you two are compeating to see who has the best grill gaurd. Whoopie, you are both real off roaders now.

ding ding ding we have found the real moron. Read the whole thread before you open your big yap.

Don't sweat it sean I also have a stereo and big speakers I was just rippin on ya for the hell of it. Oh and it is definitely true that the big waag causes damage. That is why I got rid of it the bottom of it took a hit and it swung back and dented my fender. The ARB doesn't do that. Oh and I still refuse to add up everything I have spent on my truck. It is even more expensive to go for looks first and then decide you want off road mods.

Holy shamokes! eek

A few of ya have spent some pretty good money in relatively short time for some darn good lookin mods if I may say so.

Sean, I love the Alpine color mixed with your BFG's, that's really sharp.

Tell me, what's the deal on not getting the full size brush guard? I've had the full-size guard on every truck - is it a no-no?

Thanks. Most stock and aftermarket full brush guards/push bars aren't built strong enough to take a real hit, causing the upper part to slam into your hood and fenders during a crash. Look at the two shot's of Imacsae's truck, in the second picture, he has a real brush guard, an ARB (which also replaces the front bumber). My "wittle" WAAG Sportster push bar is only good for mounting lights to. If you are considering a new brush guard, take a look at Calmini's new one for the Xterra. Rumor has it fits better. Good luck with the mods, and be careful, it's an addiction!

I've spent several thousand dollars and have several thousand more in reserve to purchase items that aren't made yet. When she hits 10 years old, I'll be doing some major modifications. My truck is not one tenth as capable off road as I'd like it to be. If they don't come out with the Eaton lockers in the next year or so, I'll be getting ARBs front and rear. I still need a custom fabricator that can build sliders to my specifications. I also want to have a custom skid system built. I need a lift kit that doesn't eat the steering system, but will probably wait for a SAS. I am being patient and will wait to get what I want if necessary. If you settle for less you will end up spending more money in the long run.
