Question... I have 2000 / V6 Xterra (2WD)I don't know if they come with a front/rear sway bar or not. I haven't modified the suspension till now.
I need a soft riding shocks and I guess Bilstein is what Im goin for. Which ones do I need.
I have extra weight which are my 2-10" Subs and 2 Amps and a Yellow Top Optima Battery. I plan on getting just a front grill and 17" or 18" Rims and Tires later on. I don't want to have to change out my shocks later on... I was wonder if anyone can direct me on which is the right Front / Rear Shocks do I need. Which part number where can I get them cheap???

Yes, Virginia, there is a sway bar. Front and rear. It looks a bar, all bent like a curling bar, which mounts in front to the lower a arms, and in the rear... I can't remember, it's been that long, but it's behind the rear axle, and has a separate linkage at the ends.

If you want your truck to ride softer, I haveto ask... WHY? You claim you have extra weight... an optima in ADDITION to the stock battery, or in place of it? Subs? This is considered extra weight? What are they made out of? The passenger compartment should be able to handle that kind of weight. It should also be able to handle the weight of a brushbar. Your stock shocks are going to be softer than anything that you can put in. Bilsteins offer a stiffer ride.

Then you lost me with the rims thing, why not go with 20"s? Come on!

You sir, are a confused little man......

reading is fundaMENTAL. I was suggesting you go with 20s, not 18s, those are poor man's rice rims.

Go for the real deal. Or are you afraid they'll get stolen....

How exactly to you deter the theft of an 8000 dollar set of rims? 6 different wheel lock sets?
