I just installed some Sway Torsion Bars on my X...and therefore need an Alignment, BUT, I am thinking about getting some Bilstien Front and Rear Shocks very soon...my Question is...Do I wait untill the Bilsteins are installed to do the Alignment or does it really matter if I do it now, and then install the Bilsteins ?

The shocks have absolutely no effect on the alignment in the Xterra, so get it done now and save your tires!

For that matter, the torsion bars don't effect it either if you got the ride height exactly the same as before. But, that's pretty hard to do and it won't hurt to have it checked out.

Yeah - the shocks don't support the weight, the torsion bars do (I assume Sway Torsion Bars refers to the brand, Sway-A-Way?)

laugh

So changing the shocks would not hurt your alignment in anyway - as mentioned...as the height remains the same.
