I have heard that its possible to tighten up some parts(suspention) of the stock xterra to try to get a little more lift. is this possible? and if so, what exactly has to be done? what tools and such?

thanks for the link, thats exactly what i was looking for.

one related question, will this procedure add excessive wear and tare on my X, or will it just change the handling and stance a little?

A t-bar lift by itself probably will not add any wear and tear. Unless you do not get the truck aligned afterwards then maybe on your tires and that is debateable.

It is a simple way to even out the X if you so choose. I need to do mine again here one of these days.
