i want to turn my torsion bars and i also would like to jack up the back to match, i would just like to know what would be better, an add-a-leaf kit or shackles. i know shackles are cheaper, i just want to know what would be better in the long run, i do light to pushing the 2wd to the limits of 2wd, so what would be stronger in the long run?

The shackle will give you better articulation over an AAL, but an AAL will give increased load capasity over the shackle. Which one do you want?? Your other option is a new spring pack made to your specs so that you can get whatever you want.

Well, if I had to run a 2wd off road...I'd ABSOLUTELY get longer shackles over AAL.

A 2wd HAS TO keep its tires on the ground...and that means articulation. AAL's KILL articulation by stiffening the pack...so your tires can't stay on the ground.

A shackle allows swing, letting the pack flex and reach the ground better.

A shackle will not sag...an AAL can sag with time (Most do sag with time...)

So - if you want a reliable rear PML lift...get AC's 6.5" eye to eye shackle.
