I'm thinking about putting a used 3.3 in my 2000 (bad overheat!). anyways I've got a line on one out of a 2001 MT, mine is an automatic. Just wodering if anyone has done any swaps like this and what the hang ups are.

i believe the major thing to change is the flywheel.

Sorry, that's a little too far for me, especially if your doing it within a week or two.

The ECU and some of the harnesses are no doubt different as well. When I had my 240sx, people used to swap out automatics for manuals all the time - the ones that got complete front clips of the donor vehicle had the easiest time matching up harnesses and electronics.

Search around for an earlier thread on the Service Manuals being on line - I would do some serious reading if no one else that has real experience doing this doesn't post.
