on the front of their 1st Gen X? I searched but a gazillion listings came up under "stem" and none of them seem related to the shocks....I just don't remember hearing anyone doing this...certainly would open up a larger world of shock options for small money...anyone see any problems with it or first hand experience with it?

I've thought about it for Airride shocks. The easiest way would be a shock hoop.
