I just made my first payment but we're doing a home equity loan so once we get funding for that we're throwing some $ at my X. I exchanged my last car so the price I paid for it went toward the price of the X. (Bought the car from a dealer, didn't work out, took advantage of 30 day exchange policy).

According to my Calculations...I got 5 to 6 more...I been putting in alot of OT at my work, these pass few Months and been putting the OT $$$ towards my X Monthly Payments...Got it Brand New in '03 with a 5-Year Payment Plan, so I will actually Pay it Off 2 Years in Advance...Damn, That Kicks Ass...

Ha! My Fronty should be paid off this week...Refied my house and paid off my Fronty, my wifes Escape (yes I said Escape, sorry) and got some cash back...life is good! ![[drink]](graemlins/drink.gif) No more car payments, just mortagage...oh and gas since it seems to be as much or more than a damn car payment nowadays!

Well according to my account info on the Ford credit website is says 12. But I owe ~$5800 at 9.9%. Paying about $1K every month so it shouldn't be too much longer.

Just got the letter from Nissan Financing yesterday - one more to go. They remind you because they do not do an automatic withdrawl for the last payment.
Of course, the payment for the wife's RAV4 starts the day after I pay the last one on the X. ...

I don't get it - what is the point of this thread???
I think asking "What is your occupation?" is a much more relevent topic to owning an X.
Would be quite interesting to see if more sciences or arts people get Xterras.
BTW: I paid for the X with my line of credit, so while I still owe money I don't have a set number of payments. Makes sense only if you can put a lot of money on it every month. Both me and wife are working so that is the choice we took.

I have one payment of $11k to make when I pick up my used X in a couple of weeks  I try to avoid making car payments whenever possible...so usually I save for a couple of years here and there and just find one for cash. I hate the finance and dealer games...and have had plenty of experience with it to last me 5 lifetimes...so I like it better this way

Thanks to the Iraq war, I was able to pay mine off after 3.5 years. Funny though, it's taking me about the same amount of time to pay off 2 motorcycles and a trailer totalling half the price of the X.

70 left....traded in my 05' 2x4 X for the OR 2 weeks before moving from sunny CA to Misery (MO) so I screw'd myself and lost some money. But man I love this truck!

my 2006 offroad has 5 yrs of payments.
dented the passenger side quarter panel right where the front mud flap used to be.
Ran up suprise canyon did the loop to briggs camp in DV, no problems. Ran up the road to get ice.
Two trips down and back up no problem. On the way back down to leave I got the dent on a stair step. Also tweaked the rear diff and was bleeding gear oil all the way back to palmdale.
I guess I shouldn't have tryed going back down sober.
OUCH! My friends think I'm crazy because my x is all scratched up with those desert racing stripes.
Hey, that's what 4x is all about!

Hey, that's what 4x is all about! First X had 2000 miles, sunk it in a 'small' puddle. This new one had 2000 give or take , slid off a log and crushed the back door. Both models had severe step rail damage (no sliders yet ) Now I have about 12k on the new one and I am afraid to let go of the wheel for fear of taking a wrong nascar style turn. Due for an alignment real soon due to cheap tires. There is really nothing stupid about being stupid. You dent the tin foil on every sandwich you wrap. Hey, on a lighter note (soon to be a topic in the box)... Can you smell the sulfur?

I bought my 06 X on Sept 17 and after leaving the dealer, I have 0 payments left. 4 years of shitty lunches and saving my pennies let me walk in and pay for my baby all at once. Thank God, I can now eat a decent lunch, PB and J's have been driving me insane!
