If I get the SLR AAL pack do I need the SLR 1in. shackles. Right not I have the Calmini shackles, will those work with the SLR pack or will I get that 'ass high" look?? Any help appreciated.....

The SLR 3-Pack gives 1.5" of lift...adding 1" SLR shackles gives a total rear lift of 2"....as their 1" shackles give 1/2" of lift, and their 2" shackles give 1" of lift, etc.

They label them by how many inches longer than stock they are...so a stock shackles ~ 3", and the 1" slr shackle is ~ 4", etc.

The rule of thumb is that for a centered axle, 1" of extra shackle length gives 1/2" of lift...as you are onlt raising the rear shackle point...the front end of the leaf pack stays put.

laugh

So choose how much lift you want and go from there....

Everybody gets different results since it's dependent on how flat your stock springs are, how much weight you're carrying, etc. most likely you will end up ass highw ith the Calmini shackles. I have the SLR/Calmini setup AND 175 lbs of bumper out back and I still have the highest ass in PNWX...LOL! But, I wanted it that way so when I tow or load up with offroad junk it stays high. Not the best, but this picture kinda shows the stance I get. I figure I got 3.5" in back with the bumper. Probably would have been 4" without the bumper back there.

The good news is that the shackles are easy to change out and they don't cost much, so if you don't like the way it sits, get the other ones! I'd let it settle for a couple weeks first though before making that decision.

Here, maybe this one will help more? BTW, I have 32" tires. Oh, and this is after 4 years or so of settling.
