Well,
It finally happened....I am ready to deliver in person all my SLR crap to Spencer himself.
My drivers side leaf pack broke today.
I think National will be replacing it.....As Blodie said "one way or another......"
So for those who do not know of the problems that I have have in the last 6-8 months with my SLR lift, you'll have plenty of opportunity in the next few days.
SPENCER, (or anyone close to him please let him know about this issue)....
You know how to reach me to discuss the corrective measures that I will be expecting. I doubt that I will hear from you this weekend, but I hope to hear from you on MONDAY.

Point of failure was right were the longest leaf starts to radius downward tobegin the wrap of the shackle bushing. The 'good side' shackle is angled backyards at least at a 45% angle. When I had someone look at hte truck during my trip, they commented about the angle of the shackle and how the whole leaf pack is sagging.
I'll try to get a picture or two with a digital camera, but do not have 'knowledge or site' to post. I'll try to email you. not sure if it will be today or Monday.
The leaf is now up against the underside of the truck. I'm glad that this happened after the three week family vacation to the west coast on northwest. I have not gone 4 wheeling since Easter. So, this is not something that was similar to my EJS experiences.
Later,

Uzbad,
I'm trying both on XOC and RMXC. It appears I can not sent you a direct email.
Check your PM on both for my email addresses.

You are a supporting member, so I am sure XOC could show you how to use the XOC Gallery to post pics.

I doubt that is any indication of how long the problem lurked before it broke. It wouldn't take very long at all for rust to form at that break, even a few hours depending on humidity. Brent
