These are interesting if you feel your Automatic Transmission has lackluster performance.
Level Ten Performance Transmission Systems for RWD vehicles. Nissan included. The Re4 Tranny is in 6 cylinder Nissan trucks 90-up. Not sure if this works with the 4WD vehicles. Cost, $750 + 5-8 hours for the install. great if you have already abused your tranny, and better for performance and severe duty use.
Also, they have a PTS Shiftronic™. Which basically allows the A/T guys to shift like a manual, including ENGINE BREAKING. Once plugged in, you have the option to go to any gear you please, up-shifting and down-shifting when you want. The Shifttronic Manual-Automatic is great for rally drivers and anyone who wants positive trans control. The controller also offers you the option of changing how hard the trans shifts, and allows the driver to lock the torque converter on deceleration for real engine braking-like a manual shift transmission.
$1,098.00
but hey, maybe Todrick can use one on his Bajaterra.

All of their trannys I've seen have cost close to $4,000. I think the route to go would be to suck it up and do the whole thing at once. You may just be creating a weak link by just upgrading some components. If their truck tranny is anything like the cars tranny, it is indeed bulletproof. http://www.levelten.com/store/import/items/trans/JA103_4000_nissan_trans.htm Charlie [ 02-18-2002: Message edited by: CharlieH ]

Unless you coast down hills in 5th, then nevermind.

He was pointing out that the proper term is braking not breaking.
