ok, I have one question.... I am getting ready to either buy the AC lift (with shackles) or the daystar lift. Since they are close to being the same price which one should I choose???? Does anyone have good or ad experiences with either?? For the record I won't be doing any real hardcore wheeling, just the normal go out and have some fun in mud and snow. thanks in advance OH and one more thing, when I get 285s will I STILL have to do some fenderwell "molding"????

This is what I am planning on getting

I like the idea of coilovers in the front and not just coils...
Price is right all I need is shims...for the driveline vibration..

yea but since I'm not going to be doing a lot of heavy wheelin, don't you think the daystar would be better??? I found it for like $180

I guess if your lift is just mainly cosmetic...

Got AC shackles and spacers installed ~2 weeks ago, and no problems. I chose AC shackles b/c they looked "beefier" which they were and b/c I could go in and pick them up. Lift heights F/R were pretty even- F 2.25"/R 2". So I was able to keep the factory stock rake stance which I wanted. I was worried about getting the ass dragging look.

I had the Daystar lift installed about eight months ago and I have no complaints. It actually makes the ride nicer. FYI-I have 305's (almost 33's) on the truck and I've done no trimming and there is no rubbing.

Hope that helps.

Hmmm....typically, the 305/70/16's are a bit taller, and a bit wider treaded than 33x12.5's...not almost 33's, more like big 33's.

Also wondering why others are reporting rub w/285's w/o the blow dryer routine?

Have you flexed it out off road yet?

laugh

What 305's?

I only have heard of one Next Gen running 305's and he need spacers and trimming to be able to flex. I know there is a guy running 34x10.5's, but he has the 3" BL.

Must are running 285/75 without significant rubbing and no lift.

No extreme flexing. The offroading I do is to get to fairly remote camping/climbing locations. Mostly mud and snow which is what the original poster said he was doing. He said no "hardcore" stuff and to me that means that he will not be on terrain uneaven enough to cause a problem. Again, I've had none.

The tires are BFG AT's.

xterrock, HOW CAN U LIVE DOWN THERE!
I hated living in Deerfield beach.
I just moved back in Feb of 06.
Everything is paved down there.
You should move out of there!
Up north you can go wheeling any time you want.
I couldn't handle the traffic down there.
If u like it there, try to get on as AC's test
xterra. I left so they are needing a ride to test a ARB bumper.
