Brake LSD is actually the best offroad traction system I know of short of a full locking differential. For reference, the Toyota 4-Runner uses brake LSD and is one of the best performing stock vehicles I've ever driven offroad. If you get slippage, you just stay in the gas and the system eventually brakes the slipping wheel and goes right up the obstacle.
Hi, I've been lurking around here for a while now and I'm finally ready to buy a 2003 X. The last thing I'm hung up on is whether or not I should get the VDC&TCS package and loose my LSD. Does it really enhance off road performance? I'm new to the whole off road scene but plan to rectify that right quick! Thanks for any help.
