Hey guys i just got my first xterra 2 weeks ago. Its a 2004 4x4 xe. I want to try a few mods to give it a little more power and better mpg's I just installed an intake today, now Im thinking electric fan and exhaust. Does anyone else have this done? what do you get for gas mileage? How hard is it to put a electric fan in? thanks guys!

well, with the intake, im still getting about 10mpg. on my old xterra, i had an intake and exhaust....really didnt make any difference.

seriously? Mine stock is getting 20mpg interstate and 16 city

TJ has an electric fan and exhaust done. I would say do a search, but I am not sure how well it is working.

I have a Magnaflow cat-back system on.

I get the same. A slight bit better on the highway but a little worse in city. But pretty much the same.

I got extremely lucky and got a new Borla exhaust for my '00V6 on here at an amazing price. It came with a Borla air filter but I kept my K&N installed. I don't believe it has any more power, but it is much smoother and seems to breathe a lot better. The exhaust note is nice, not loud but it let's you know when you're on the gas. I love it!

Exactly... stock. I get 14mpg but I am no where near stock. Power... in a 1st Gen... whats that?
