This isn't a gripe or a problem, just a question.

Do you notice that when you are driving on the highway at hwy speeds and your hubs are locked but not in 4wd, the truck feels very heavy in its handling.

I was on some semi-dry hwy today with the hubs locked because ice and snow were sporadic and the truck felt very tank like in handling and acceleration. I've got some weird hearing sometimes (years of loud music) but I could even pick up on a low heavy hum.

Anyone else experience this or am I imagining things.

Yep me too. your just moving more parts. I hear the Hum as well.

I can hear a difference (there is a lot more stuff turning when you've got 'em engaged) - but I don't really notice a big difference in handling/acceleration... then again if the situation merits having them locked I'm generally driving more slowly/carefully than normal
