In case anyone else lost one or more of those 6 long skinny cap screws that go in the Warn 20990 hubs (the premium hub for the D44 axles used in a SAS) let me know. Turns out it's next to impossible to get the damn $3 hardware kit from Warn (and for that reason I'm DONE buying Warn products) - so I got out my thread gauges, my digital caliper, and one of the screws and searched around McMaster-Carr until I found a match.

I should have 50 of 'em in a few days laugh

If you need a couple let me know.

Note - each hub model has different hardware - so these will likely ONLY work if you've got a SAS.

You could just post that information so that all could benefit?

Fair enough... though I thought offering 'em free was a pretty good deal.

P/N: 91274A040
Coated Alloy Steel Socket Head Cap Screw 6-32 Thread, 1-3/4" Length

Interesting... I didn't look at the catalog page last night - turns out they are coated in polymer.... weird.
Quote:
Also known as armor coat, the coating on these screws provides better corrosion resistance than zinc, cadmium, and hot-dipped galvanized plating. The thickness of the plastic alloy (polymer) coating does not interfere with the screw's Class 3A thread fit. Coating provides salt spray resistance of 1,000 hours per ASTM B117. Coating color is silver-gray. Alloy steel conforms to ASTM A574. Meet ANSI/ASME B18.3. Rockwell hardness: C39-C45. Minimum tensile strength is 180,000 psi. Length is measured from under head.
Anyway - based on my measurements and best guess, these will work. I'll let ya know in a few days if they really do.

I think if I were to order more I'd get the stainless steel version - 'cause the coating on these is kind of weird - but they work!

I have a box of them as well, and they are a hell of a lot better than the crap that WARN supplies with their hubs. They're something like Grade12 bolts if we're talking about the same ones. The box came with the Xterra I bought, and only had about 10 left in it...but they're damn good quality. Thanks for the info, as I'm sure I'll be looking to order more for spares.
