Just got my cigarette lighter kit, and it came with a whole new socket that appears to just plug in. But, if I try to pull out the original socket from one of the power outlets, it doesn't want to come out easily. Don't want to break anything by forcing it. Anyone put one of these in yet?

Thought I'd bump this old question since it was unanswered, as I need to pull mine out and want to do it without breaking anything.

Anyone know the proper way to remove one?

Behind the socket are two tab like pieces of plastic that prevent the socket from falling out. You need to get behind the socket and compress those tabs, then the socket will come out
