Not a commercial plug, but if you like Rally racing you should check out RalliSport on Xbox. You can race the Subaru's plus about 40 other cars in sand, ice, backroads, mud, etc. etc. The hillclimbs are my favorite and for total craziness try the downhill race of the hillclimb tracks on ice. Yikes!

Hopefully it will hit $150 over the Summer so I can pick one up to play Morrowind (which may actually ship on Tuesday).

Well it actually is a good game. It's not offroading, but it matches vehicle to terrain better than any of the monster truck/atv games that are out there. Not to mention it's pretty to look at.

Another great rally game is WRC - World Rally Championship on PS2. I've been wanting this game for a while, but it's only been available in the UK or something, but it's finally available in the US. Picked it up the other day, alot of fun.

This is the bad-ass one...18mb but worth it!

The Rally racing in GT3 Aspec is also pretty awesome, not as intense as RalliSport, but its not bad. I still havnt beat that damn game yet, im at 82%

Not to revive an old thread, but that video was pretty cool. I miss my Impreza RS. The white one in the snow reminds me of my car over this past winter. Im sure it would have handled better if I had actually put snow tires on it....

My Aunt once had a SuperJew Impreza. I was not Imprezad at all. Tranny went out at 57,000 Cruise control followed suit at 63,000 and that was amongst the many electrical problems. She quickly got rid of it. It took two months to ship a new tranny from Japan, or at least that's what we were told what the problem was.

You may want to reconsider your opinions... I personally love the Lancer Evo over the Impreza but they are both 2 excellent cars!

PS2- wrc puts all other rally games to shame as far as terrain and relisim. i'm waiting for atv offroad fury 2 to be released in nov.

OK, so you had a bad Subaru. There are a few bad Xterras out there too. On the whole though, Subarau has been quite the reliable brand the last few years.

Go to Alaska man, one of the most extreme climates on the planet. My estimate from living there for 5 years is that 80% of the population drives Subbys. Why is that? Because the damned things are dependable and that matters when it's 50 below with a sustained 40 MPH wind. My next "car" will no doubt be a Subaru.
