Hey I just bought a new XTerra. Picked it up on 3/10. It's just a 2WD but man it is so sweet to drive. Color is Gold Rush. It's been a week but I'm still stoked. What a nice rig to cruise around in. I've got two kids and they love it. Lots of room for them and all their assorted crap. Best new vehicle I've ever owned

I also stare at my X. I just want to look at it all the damn time. Whenever I park it, and am walking away, I look back at it several times. If anyone ever sees me, I do probably look stupid! But oh well...

Hey! After 3000 miles / 3 months, I still stare at my Xterra and tell myself, "Is this Xterra really mine? Is it really? Dang! It looks so cool!"

How many cars out there can you say to yourself that looks cool and awesome both when it's clean, and when it's dirty?

Cruise on!

"Honey, who's car is that in our driveway?"

"It's yours, Frank." (or whatever his name is)

"Oh, yeah, it *is* my car."

Yeah... Welcome aboard Beetlbob...
Did you mention where you lived at?
Northern/Southern Cali? Hey Todrick,
where in So Cal do you trek around at?
I live in Pasadena, but drive around
the Glendale area... If you see a Green
SE with an XOC logo and an "Air Butchie
Productions" sign in the back of my window,
then that's me... Anyways, congrats on your
new X Beetlebob... You'll definately enjoy
it for years to come... Peace!

Right on BeetlBob. I did a stint in Forestville, off the Russian River Rd. many years ago. My wife and I are avid wine freaks and take a "wine" trip every year. Every other year we go back to Napa/Sonoma.
We're psyched 'cause our next trip is in MAY!!!
We would love to move out there and be wine bums... anyway maybe you could loan us the X and you can drive our rental car... I know you'd HATE to see a fellow X'er go through withdrawals right under your nose

I'll make sure I get something WAY cool like a Geo Prizm or Ford Focus!

you could always rent yourself a Asstek.
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha
Then you would really want to "taste" a whole bunch of wines.
make sure you stop at Rodney Strong Vineyards
to do some tasting. If you see a Gold X in the lot, that's my baby

Do you work there or something?
I brake for all wineries.
Although I plan to upgrade my cellar on this trip with a bunch a age-worthy cabs and such. And I'm always a sucker for a phat zin.
uh, NOT the pink stuff (it's a shame you have to say that these days)

Yeah, I'm in charge of production at R/S Winery. One of the nice perks is I get to take my work home with me, one bottle at a time.

Well, I'd say you're also shaping up to be quite the XOC addict.

Got my 2001 XE 4x2 at the end of Feb and can only wonder why I waited so long! My friends and co-workers think I'm nuts for spending 23Gs on a car then trying to destroy it in the first month. Oh well,4x2 or 4x4,the 'X' without question performs best on unpaved surfaces! I haven't taken Silver out on a real trail yet but I can't wait,I found a nice little fire road to practice on already and I've tried to get stuck on the beach once. Look forwrd to relaying my adventures and reading everyone elses.
