Cool stuff! We've got nothing like that in New England. Although we've got other cool stuff though.

BTW, I'd just like to commend both of you on your excellent choice of color.

Great pictures Todd!

But why the subject heading? Those are alot of dry level roads. I was expecting pictures of you flying over bolders or something.

the point was that although i have driven more "extreme" i have never driven more beautiful, and i was trying to point out that "off-roading" is not always about creeping over boulders... sometimes it is about doing 80mph across a dry lake bed... or casually driving up narrow box canyons...

although this, is in the same area

as for the main run it is may 4th/5th/6th:

all the info is here

please post on the message board and RSVP if you plan to attend

I guess you didn't catch the fact that I was joking.

But anyway, those second pics are really cool, post the pics you took of your X doing those runs I am anxious to see them.

Yep, Beetles are pretty well suited to off-road travel. The flat belly, tall tires, and rear engine over the drive wheels took me places I wouldn't have imagined.

Miss it...

and if you roll it over, just rock it a couple of times and it is simple to roll it back...that is if it does not do so on its own....

Good plan, we are all about cool pictures around here. If you post a message about some awesome place you went and don't have pics to go with it...well lets just say it could get ugly.

You have to get your pix online somewhere else, like photopoint, then link to it. The "UBB Code is ON" link beside the window where you type your post will tell you how to link to the image, but getting it online in the first place is the main thing.

Those are some great pics. The closest thing to that we have around here is Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disney. I think Mickey would get pissed if I tried to take the X through that though.

actually out here Knotts is disneys big competition... funny but knotts are the people who helped restore the calico ghost town... and infact some of the buildings in the "fake" ghost town at the theme park are the real buildings from calico while the buildings out there in the desert are replicas
