I was looking into getting the nissan original
neoprene's a while back. I notice now that xterraparts.com
lists the '02 covers separate from the '00-'01. Are
the seats really any different on the '02 models
or will the '00-'01 covers fit just fine?

Reading the threads about the wet okole's and the
CostCo covers makes me think the seats are the
same for the '02s.

The '02 is a different seat from the '00-'01. It has at minimum a firmer cushion and deeper and higher side bolsters. The Costco seats are more of a universal seat cover as opposed to the Nissan offerings that are fitted.

I bought the 00-01 Nissan covers by mistake, you can make them fit, if you are very strong and don't mind yanking like there is no tomorrow , get the 02 covers, much easier install..trust me on this one.

I bought the Costco seatcovers as a 'back-up set' for the front seats and they fit like crap. They also had a big hole in one of the seams so I took them back. I think others have had better luck though.
