I got the 2wd and I'm not even married! Figured it would be best to put the extra 2 grand into toys I would use more often than off roading. Bought a new kayak and a new surfboard last week. Sometimes the Xterra makes sense even in 2wd configuration.

What if you spent $300 of the 2 grand you saved in buying sexy lingerie for your wife . . then she'll be in a good mood to let you spend the other 1700 on a thrashed old 4x4 that you can toss around and not feel guilty that your brand new $23,000 X took a beating before the engine was even broken in?

Oh, I'm going to get flamed for that suggestion. LOL! Just my humble opinion gentlemen.
