i dont really know if it is the problem. but at around 2000 rpms my X makes a noise like something eather rubbing or grinding. but only when it moving. it dont sound like the tranny and my exhaust is nice and tight. nothing is leaking. and my father-in-law said on his van it made noise like that and it turned out to be the cat converter. wonderin if anyone out there has had this problem and tell me what it is or could be... and maybe direct me to a good pas to find a replacement cat coverter. any info would be much appreciated!!

it could be pieces inside teh cat coming loose, more then likely it is a heat shield bouncing around.. Chenk them all.. on top & bottom, from the heads to the tip.. that is alot cheaper then $100 for a new cat install

well i feel kina dumb. atleast i figured out what the rattle was. it was just my exhaust pipe rubbing on something. atleast it was a cheep fix!
