Assuming you can get to the hose fittings easily, it shouldn't be that difficult. Once you have the hoses free, I believe there are just 4 bolts holding it to the engine.
However, you should have the system evacuated by a shop instead of releasing the R134a into the air, and then of course you'll have to have it recharged afterwards. Also, be careful with the high-pressure hose (the one that attaches to the rear), they're prone to cracking at the point where they mount to the compressor.
