What is availible from who,
and how do they rate, (Safety is #1!!!!!)

What hype should I belive.

I'm sure your going to get a lot of opinions and input on this. The current companies that make a 3" lift are: Calmini,SLR,Rancho(sucks),EOE, and AC. SLR is by far the most expensive kit,but looks to provide more articulation than the others. Its also the only one that drops the front diff. I have the 3" AC lift and installed it myself (with the help of a friend) The lift instructions from Mosi on PNWX site were very helpful. Most of the kits have differant options for the rear,shackles,AAL's, or full spring packs. IMO shackles sag out your springs. AAL's are much better for load carring and still provide a good ride. The full spring pack is by far the best choice but $$$. I have been very happy with the AC lift,both on and off road.
