It was close, but we did win, and WSU is far better than their record looks - SC is their only loss that they weren't in until the end. Their running back (Harrison) is probably the 2nd or 3rd best back in college football, but nobody knows who the hell he is because he's up in Pullman playing for a 3-7 team.

Now we need a victory over OAC in the civil war and a few other games to go our way and we're crunching on Tostitos in the Fiesta. If we don't get Fiesta we'll probably get the Holiday bowl, which isn't to shabby either.

I'll probably make the trip in either case.

Well I leave for Lubbock tom. to catch the Tech vs. OU game. Hopefully Leach can get them ready. This will decide whether or not Tech screwed themselves or can pull out win for a chance at the Cotton Bowl.

2 weeks ago I'd say Tech wins hands down. Now it's 50/50 - OU may well win this one.

BTW, we had to know this was coming. You and I both hated Cumbie and Hodges couldn't even beat him out. These 1 year seniors just aren't working. Next year, we have a blue chipper leading the way and we'll have him for 3 years. That should be the beginning of something special. BTW, we'll have a normal schedule too.

Well, we finally beat Oklahoma... barely. All I know is that with our quarterback next year, that game wouldn't have been close. Still, we'll take a Cotton Bowl appearance. It's great an all as a Tech fan, but I'll be looking forward to our bluechip quarterback next year.

Names to remember: Taurean Henderson and Dwayne Slay. Two most under-rated players (because they are not playing on a "national powerhouse") that will make it huge on Sundays next year.

I really wasn't expecting GT's defense to shut down their offense like they did. I think Kyle Wright got skeered.

Just got back from the Tech game and it was INSANE. That many reviewable plays in the 30-40 seconds is gut wrenching. I have to say that Adrian Peterson is a BADASS. I saw Slay (possibly one of the hardest hitters in the Big XII) clock him pretty solid and he almost stayed up on his feet. He basically tripped himself trying to keep his balance.

All in all the game was fun, crowd went nuts and I'll be at the Cotton Bowl come Jan. 2nd.

I know. ND's the one that really pisses me off - they played a weaker schedule, have a poorer record, have a home loss to a 5-6 team, and their best win is a close loss to USC. Don't get me started, though.

But hey, there's still hope - they owe us one (well, they owe the Pac-10 several, but Oregon in particular is owed one).

Notre Dame ALWAYS plays one of the toughest schedules in the nation. How do you figure?

Normally they do, but this year the good teams on their schedule aren't up to their ususal level, and their annual pansies are still there. It's not a horrible schedule, but it is weaker than Oregon's so I included as one of the reasons I'm going to be pissed.

If Tech had won out you'd be in the same boat as Oregon, albeit with a weaker case.

Yeah, but I'm a Notre Dame fan as well , so if we lost out to ND, I wouldn't be as pissed.

Still, back to the schedule, I'm just trying to understand how their schedule is weaker. Besides, they're the only team that really coulda shoulda have beat USC if they would have allowed instant replay (but that's their own fault).
