Just curious if anyone has totally taken out the back seats (tops and bottoms) to make their X 2 seat only? Strange question, I know... bored at work. If so, got pics or why you did it?

Well, those two "seats" are more or less pointless to me. Don't have kids, dog weighs 120lbs (I have the cage) The only thing I ever put back there is... stuff? So I was just curious if anyone ever took them out and fab'd up anything else? Speakers/amps, tool box/recovery gear storage, ummm? Beer cooler or gun safe or both?

Yeah, this is a good thought. I'm in the same boat no kid's and I haul either gear for work (shovel wheelbarrow misc. tools) or my mtn. Bike which is a pain in the ass to load. If I could gain some head room to make loading bikes easier I would consider this a worth while mod.

i have done it. i broke every bolt pulling them out too! if you do it use pb blaster or something, plus the clips that hold in the bottoms of the seats are near impossible to remove with out breaking. i broke 3 of the 4 of those. the reason i did this was to make room to build a amp rack and hold batteries for my sound system. then i bought a motorcycle instead. seats are now welded in and the bottoms are just sitting there because i cant find the right clips. iv tried twice though xterraparts.com both times they sent me the same thing even though i ordered two different things each time.
