Anyone out there actually replaced a FPR on a 3.3? It appears to be burried right next to the #6 plug but I cannot actually see it... trying to solve a hard start issue. Before you comment, yes, I've done everything else - this is the last part to be replaced. Dealer or DYI?

Replaced yes.. did it myself no.

I had them do it this last time when they were working on replacing a freeze plug.

Thanks for the info XOC-
When the FPR was replaced, did it help anything? I'm trying to decide if this part ever needs to be replaced. The Nissan Tech Manual (downloaded from this forum) doesn't even discuss the replacement of the regulator, only how to diagnose a problem with the fuel pressure.
I'm wondering if replacement will even help with long cranks (slow starts). The fuel pump and evap-canister all seem to check out OK.

Anybody out there actually change a fuel pressure regulator on a 3.3L by DYI?

Thanks-

When I changed mine I did not really notice a difference. It was one of those "while I am in there" things.

What sucks is that after changing it I think I now have a faulty injector as I think one is leaking. Always something when you get up to almost 200k smile
