Hey Gang,
Just picked up an '02 Xterra and was looking for a reasonably priced Brush/Grille guard and tail-light guards. I've checked ebay, JC.Whitney, 4WheelParts, etc. I would like to keep it around $200+ for the set.

I've seen the cheaper brush guards, but it's the thin bracket upright bars. Not the ones reinforced with the plastic push bar. (If you get what I mean).

Any suggestions?

yeah, stay away from cheap. what are you looking to get from it? If you want the look, or maybe protection from small branches ok, but if you read what others have learned, the Brush/Grill Guards, and tail light guards, for the most part, will cause more damage than they will do good in the event of contact. If you want protection, then once again, Shrock, ARB, Calmini etc, they are the way to go, and they are far from cheap. I've been saving my pennies for a long time now, hoping to be able to get one of them for mine.

If I remember correctly, when I had my Pathfinder, I bought a Genuine Steel brush guard, step rails and tail light guards for like $500 as a complete kit. I did have a fender bender and the brush guard actually saved me from any major damage.

I'm going more for Form than Function. I don't go off-roading that much to have to worry about damaging anything while trailing thru the bush. I would expect to spend $200-$300. Anymore than that I feel is outrageous. IMO
