I just received rubber floor mats through ebay via UPS, had to pay pretty much the equivalent price i paid for the mats, for brokerage fees...ended up being double the price...I told the seller to quote the mats to ups for no more than $35. He goes and quotes it at the top bidding price??? who the heck quotes their top bidding price to UPS??? idiot!

Word of the wise, help your Canadian brother's out when your shipping to Canada and quote the price to UPS for less when possible! You're getting your money regardless, might as well help out the buyer to.

I know what you mean. I once ordered a watch off Ebay thinking I was saving money and I ended up paying half the watch in duties.

But, funny thing is that some months before, I ordered a brand new, high quality stereo receiver from Ebay. That time, the seller sent it as "Warranty Return" and I paid nothing.

I guess some are better at keeping their customers.

I always write GIFt when I ship outside the US. I'm like you. I already got my money so why should you have to pay more.
