I cannot understand why the wiring for the tow hitch is not finished on the 5-speed model. Has any 5 speed owners done this installation? Expensive? My Nissan dealer wants 70.00 for the kit? That seems high?

When I got my tow hitch put on, I think they wanted $70 for the wiring but, I ended up getting the wiring harness for free. When I got my X the wiring was sitting in the trunk, and when I got the hitch put on they used that wiring and still wanted to charge me $70 for the new wire. I noticed this when I was reading the bill, so my mom and I got in a big arguement with the dealer, and we got it for free.

I dont know if this helps you at all, but it just shows you that the dealers always try to shaft you.

Got my hitch and wiring harness from xterraparts.com. Put them both in myself took about 1 hour. Very easy and looks great.
