I got mine a few days ago. It's a great kit! A must if you have a sunroof.

Thanks!

I'm sorry you feel as though I've taken something from Thor. I actually tried ordering one of his kits from him over a year ago and never got a reply so I made my own from scratch. I posted some pics and the response was overwhelming so I decided to make some for sale.

They are different in design and I've put alot of work in to my kit and every single person that has purchased one from me has been completely satisfied.

I don't make enough money on them to buy a boat or anything but I do get a few pennies for beer which is all I was after in the first place.

It's called free enterprise and there are no patents on the design (his or mine). I just did it for fun and to share a mod w/ other people who may not want to take the time to make it on their own.

So w/ your logic applied do you think that Calmini is allowed to make the only front bumper for the Xterra (or whoever made it first, you get my point)?

Anyway, thanks for the feedback!

When you say Thor are you refering to Sean who used to sell those? He sold his Xterra a long time ago and bought a Mustang, I doubt he even knows. I don't think he would be upset, he wasn't trying to make a fortune selling those he, like krzymnd was just trying to help other Xterra owners enjoy their X even more.

Yes, you're the only one.

Sean sold kits like this for these before he left, now krzydmnd is selling them. Many in between made their own for personal use.

You'll live. [Freak]

Update on my mod. After having it installed for a couple of months found that I was getting alot of noise from the airdam above 60mph due to the loss of reinforcement ribbing on the back of the plastic, even with the metal rod installed in the rubber strp, (00-01s only). Thought I saw somewhere where someone had installed some weather stripping along the roof so I went to Home Depot, got 5/8th thick x 3/4 wide weather stripping and installed it along the roof where the dam meets the roof. Stopped all the noise even up to 80mph now. Probably would work on all 00-01s. cool

cool, thanks for the feedback, that is exactly what I need to hear!

Thin weather one side sticky weather tape is a great idea. I'll play around w/ a few things that I might be able to easily include in the kits.

You're right, this is only a concern on the 00 and 01 dams because of the better structural mounting of the 02. My 02 dam is fine after 8 months w/ no bracing whatsoever.

thanks again!

Hey guys~

Although I no longer own an Xterra the site is still up and w/ Spring in the air I've had some recent requests for kits again.

Unfortunately high fossil fuel costs have greatly increased the cost of the Poly material that I use and new kits are now $99. Please let me know if any one is currently interested at a kit at the new price so I know how much material to order for this new batch. The site shows $79 until I can get that updated but the price is $99 (still shipped for Free).

Since the online order form isn't available please send me an email either through here or the site if you are interested.

thank you! air dam mod

Damn, if I'd know about this as a possibility, maybe I'd have bought one with a factory sunroof frown
