Does anyone w/ a Calmini rear bumper have any problems w/ the frame rails? Do you truely need extra bracing when installing this bumper? Mine will be here in a few days and wanted to get ready for the install.

Thanks in advance [Wave]

That's a good question. I've been looking into the rear bumper myself. Also would it be of any help to get the add-a-leaf with that extra weight on the rear? Or is it not that much different?

Does anyone have a Calmini rear bumper/swing carrier with a 2" body lift? I just wonder what they did to make it fit. I have the 2" BL installed and in the future I need this bumper.

Panhandle - just to be safe I ordered the Calmini AAL too.....I'm hoping the extra weight of the bumper will be off set by the new leaves...

I'll keep you posted.

EMT_diver I have the Skid Row frame inserts in my truck. Now the reason I did this because three of our club members have KMA rear bumpers and they are built with frame reinforcements that go into to boxed channel of the Xterra frame.

I just wanted to make sure that the Calmini would be able snatch someone up a hill if they were stuck!

It's worth the $100 in my opinion.

I can send you pictures if you'd like.

If I were you I would get the SLR 3leaf AAL their set up is much better. I have installed the Calmini AAL and there is no retainer to keep the leafs aligned! SLR's kit has the retainer.

Good deal EMT, glad it's not just me that was thinking about those things.
