What really steams me is the fact that since I bought my X (March 2000), not a single person from the dealership has given me a call, or sent me a letter, thanking me for buying a vehicle. Not a what's up, not a how;s it running, NOTHING. It should be standard for the GM of the dealership to send all new owners a letter thanking them for their business. Girard Nissan in Groton, CT has seen the last of my business.

Good grief, are you that petty? As long as they give a good deal and good service, I couldn't care less if a dealer gives me warm fuzzies.

Did I mention getting a good deal? I just think it is pretty funny how the dealership is calling 5 times a week prior to the sale, and then once they sell you the vehicle they could care less. That is no way to run a business as far as I am concerned. Maybe I am a bit petty, but I know what it takes to make a customer become a repeat customer, and this dealership doesn't have it.

Actually, after putting up with all the dealer tricks and few hours of bargaining, I'd rather be left alone and not contacted by the dealer unless there was a recall.

OK, from the other approach... If a dealer doesn't give a good deal and/or good service, they've already blown it, so they can take their warm fuzzies and stick it.
